Week 4: Letter C Activities

Week 4 of our Letter of the Week preschool curriculum focuses on the letter C and the number two. In Week 4, your child will also learn about community helpers, the caterpillar to butterfly life cycle, and more.

Letter C Activities: Day 1

  • Watch ABC Song Speeding Up and sing along. In this video, the ABC song gets faster each time. If your child has trouble keeping up and becomes frustrated, it’s okay to stop the video.
  • Learn about the letter C on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter C, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
  • Show your child how to write an upper and lowercase C, and have him complete the worksheet on page 16 of the workbook.
  • Watch Pat-a-Cake and teach your child the hand motions.
  • Optional: Choose an activity, a recipe to prepare together, or a snack from the list of additional activities near the end of this page.

Letter C Activities: Day 2

  • Watch ABC Song Speeding Up and sing along.
  • Watch Captain Seasalt and the ABC Pirates “C” Island cartoon.
  • Show your child how to write the number 2 and help him/her complete page 17 of the workbook.

However, if you do not get a chance to review Week 3, it is okay. Week 7 of the Letter of the Week preschool curriculum will review weeks 1 through 6.
