Week 19: Free Review Activities

Welcome to Week 19 of Freedom Homeschooling’s Letter of the Week preschool curriculum!

Week 19: Review Activities

Week 19 of our Letter of the Week preschool curriculum will focus on review. This week reviews letters K through O and numbers ten through fourteen.

Review Activities: Day 1

• Sing the alphabet song with your child.
• Review the letter K on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter K, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
• On the left side of workbook page 91, have your child trace and write the letter K. (Don’t do the right side yet.)
• Watch The Color Kittens by Margaret Wise Brown.
• Watch Ten in the Bed and sing along.
• On the right side of workbook page 91, have your child trace the number 10 and count the circles in the ten frame.
• Optional: Do one of the Week 14 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 14’s page.

Review Activities: Day 2

• Review the letter L on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter L, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
• On the left side of workbook page 92, have your child trace and write the letter L. (Don’t do the right side yet.)
• Watch Miss Jill read We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt by Steve Metzger.
• On the right side of workbook page 92, have your child trace the number 11 and count the circles in the ten frames.
• Watch Mary Had a Little Lamb and sing along.
• Optional: Do one of the Week 15 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 15’s page.

Review Activities: Day 3

• Review the letter M on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter M, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
• On the left side of workbook page 93, have your child trace and write the letter M. (Don’t do the right side yet.)
• Read A Mitten for Little Mouse retold by Allyn Fisher to your child. You will find this ebook near the end of the list in the Pre-K Story Collection. It is available in PDF and ePub formats. As you read the book, each time another animal joins the mouse in the mitten, ask your child how many animals are now in the mitten.
• On the right side of workbook page 93, have your child trace the number 12 and count the circles in the ten frames.
• Watch Old MacDonald Had a Farm and sing along.
• Optional: Do one of the Week 16 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 16’s page.

Review Activities: Day 4

• Review the letter N on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter N, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
• On the left side of workbook page 94, have your child trace and write the letter N. (Don’t do the right side yet.)
• Watch Mr. Noisy’s Book of Patterns by Rozanne Williams.
• On the right side of workbook page 94, have your child trace the number 13 and count the circles in the ten frames.
• Listen to People in Your Neighborhood and sing along.
• Optional: Do one of the Week 17 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 17’s page.

Review Activities: Day 5

• Review the letter O on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter O, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
• On the left side of workbook page 95, have your child trace and write the letter O. (Don’t do the left side yet.)
• Watch Curious George’s Opposites by H.A. Rey. Ask your child if he can think of any more opposites.
• On the right side of workbook page 95, have your child trace the number 14 and count the circles in the ten frames.
• Watch On Top of Spaghetti and sing along.
• Optional: Do one of the Week 18 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 18’s page.

Supply Reminder

Remember to look ahead to Week 20, decide which activities you would like to do with your child, and make sure you have the necessary supplies on hand.
