Week 32: Free Review Activities

Welcome to Week 32 of Freedom Homeschooling’s Letter of the Week preschool curriculum!

Week 32: Review Activities
Week 32 of our Letter of the Week preschool curriculum focuses on review. This week reviews letters U through Z and the number twenty.
Review Activities: Day 1
- Sing the alphabet song with your child.
- Watch Finny the Shark’s Days of the Week Song and sing along. The video will start at 0:21, when the song begins.
- Say to your child: “Today is Monday (or substitute the correct day). What was yesterday? What will tomorrow be?”
- Review the letter U on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter U, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
- On workbook page 161, have your child write his name at the top of the page, trace and write the letter U, and color the picture.
- Watch Miss Sassycat read Ella’s Umbrellas by Jennifer Loyd.
- Watch Up to the Ceiling and sing along.
- Optional: Do one of the Week 26 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 26’s page.
Review Activities: Day 2
- Watch Finny the Shark’s Days of the Week Song and sing along.
- Say to your child: “Today is Tuesday (or substitute the correct day). What was yesterday? What will tomorrow be?”
- Review the letter V on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter V, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
- Watch Janice read Vera Viper’s Valentine by Maxwell Higgins.
- On workbook page 162, have your child write his name at the top of the page. On the left side of the page, have him trace and write the letter V. (Don’t do the right side yet.)
- Listen to One Two Buckle My Shoe and sing along.
- On the right side of workbook page 162, have your child trace and write the number 20 and count the circles in the ten frames.
- Optional: Do one of the Week 27 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 27’s page.

Review Activities: Day 3
- Watch Finny the Shark’s Days of the Week Song and sing along.
- Say to your child: “Today is Wednesday (or substitute the correct day). What was yesterday? What will tomorrow be?”
- Review the letter W on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter W, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
- On workbook page 163, have your child write his name at the top of the page, trace and write the letter W, and color the picture.
- Read Little Mouse’s Winter Countdown by Allyn Fisher to your child. You will find the ebook about three-fourths of the way down the list in the Pre-K Story Collection. It’s available in PDF and ePub formats.
- Sing The Wheels on the Bus while doing the hand motions.
- Optional: Do one of the Week 28 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 28’s page.
Review Activities: Day 4
- Watch Finny the Shark’s Days of the Week Song and sing along.
- Say to your child: “Today is Thursday (or substitute the correct day). What was yesterday? What will tomorrow be?”
- Review the letter X on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter X, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
- On workbook page 164, have your child write his name at the top of the page, trace and write the letter X, and color the picture.
- Watch What about X? An Alphabet Adventure by Anne Marie Houppert.
- Watch A-Hunting We Will Go and sing along.
- Optional: Do one of the Week 29 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of Week 29’s page.
Review Activities: Day 5
- Review the letter Y on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter Y, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
- Read Little Mouse’s Red Yarn Mystery by Allyn Fisher. You will find this ebook near the end of the list in the Pre-K Story Collection. It is available in PDF and ePub formats.
- On workbook page 165, have your child write his name at the top of the page. On the left side of the page, have him trace and write the letter Y. (Don’t do the right side yet.)
- Review the letter Z on Starfall.
- Watch Pastela read My Room is a Zoo by Jerry Ruff. You may want to pause the video on the last page of the book and read the animal words to your child.
- On the right side of workbook page 165, have your child trace and write the letter Z.
- Sing If You’re Happy and You Know It with hand motions.
- Optional: Do one of the Week 30 or Week 31 additional activities you didn’t get to, or repeat a favorite activity. The activities are near the bottom of the week’s page.
