Week 3: Letter B Activities

Week 3 of our Letter of the Week preschool curriculum focuses on the letter B and the number one. In Week 3, your child will also learn about bears and more.

Letter B Activities: Day 1

  • Watch the Alphabet Song and sing along. The video will start at 2:21, when the song begins.
  • Learn about the letter B on Starfall. On each screen of this interactive activity, your child will need to click the letter B, wait for the animation to play, or complete the activity to get the green arrow to appear. Then, he/she will click the green arrow to go to the next screen.
  • Show your child how to write an upper and lowercase B, and have him complete the worksheet on page 11 of the workbook.
  • Watch Here is the Beehive. Encourage your child to sing along.
  • Optional: Choose an activity, a recipe to prepare together, or a snack from the list of additional activities near the end of this page.

Short Vowel A Review

If your child has completed all the Week 3 activities, and time allows, you may want to spend some time reviewing Week 2, which covered the short vowel A. However, if you do not get a chance to review Week 2, it is okay. Week 7 of the Letter of the Week preschool curriculum will review weeks 1 through 6.
