Free World Languages Curriculum

 

Welcome to our free homeschool world languages curriculum page. Choose a language from the menu below to begin exploring the curriculum. There are many options available for learning Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, English (ESL), Latin, and American Sign Language (ASL). If the language you are looking for isn’t included in the menu, check the list of more world languages found near the bottom of this page. The list includes resources for learning over 100 foreign languages.
 
For other subjects, visit our homepage and choose a subject from the free curriculum menu. There are options for all the standard subjects and many electives.

If the language you are looking for isn’t included in the menu above, try the following resources.

Clozemaster  (9th – adults)

Clozemaster provides vocabulary practice and listening exercises for over 70 languages. While much of the content is free, a paid version is also available, offering additional features.

Conjuguemos  (5th – 12th)

Conjuguemos teaches several world languages using online practice activities, flashcards, and games.

Duolingo  (6th – adults)

Duolingo offers interactive translation-based instruction in over 40 languages. While the lessons are free, there is also a paid version that includes additional features.

The Language Guide  (5th – adults)

The Language Guide offers almost 20 foreign languages. The website utilizes text, audio lessons, and interactive activities to teach vocabulary and grammar.

Language Transfer  (8th – adults)

Language Transfer offers audio-based courses for several languages. The courses use The Thinking Method, which is a Socratic Q&A teaching style

Learn 101  (6th – adults)

Learn 101 provides vocabulary and grammar lessons with audio recordings to assist with pronunciation for over 100 world languages.

LibreTexts  (10th – college)

This website offers online college-level textbooks for over 20 foreign languages. Some of the textbooks could also be used with high school students.

Loecsen  (4th – adults)

Loecsen provides beginner-level courses in over 40 languages, as well as intermediate-level courses in many of them. While the lessons are free, there is also a paid version with additional features.
