How to Use the Free Spanish Curriculum List
The Spanish curriculum on this page is listed in alphabetical order. There is a suggested grade range next to the title of each curriculum resource. These are only approximate, so you may want to also consider resources above or below your child’s actual grade.
All the Christian resources on this list are labeled with a “C.” Any resource not labeled as Christian is either secular or neutral and does not teach religious beliefs unless otherwise noted.
If you would like to use any of the resources listed below, click on the curriculum’s title to visit their website. Then, follow the instructions found there to begin using the resource.
For other subjects, visit our homepage and choose a subject from the free curriculum menu found there. There are options for all the standard subjects and many electives.
Free Spanish Curriculum
123 Teach Me (2nd – adults)
123 Teach Me offers many Spanish learning resources, including Spanish for Kids, Spanish Lessons 101, Spanish Lessons 102, listening comprehension, and reading comprehension. The material is presented through a combination of text, videos, audio, interactive quizzes, games, and worksheets.
At Home Middle School (6th – 8th)
This Spanish course is taught using free lessons from Duolingo and YouTube videos. The materials are divided into 180 daily lessons.
Clozemaster (9th – adults)
Clozemaster provides Spanish vocabulary practice and listening exercises. It presents sentences with a word missing, and students fill in the blank. While much of the content is free, a paid version is also available, offering additional features.
Conjuguemos (5th – 12th)
Conjuguemos teaches Spanish using online practice activities, flashcards, and games.
Duolingo (6th – adults)
This website offers interactive translation-based instruction for Spanish. The website tracks progress as students learn at their own pace. While the lessons are free, there is also a paid version that includes additional features.
Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool (6th & 7th) C
6th Level Spanish is an introductory Spanish course that begins by building a foundation in Latin. 7th Level Spanish is a continuation of the introductory level. Both levels consist of 180 daily lessons that utilize videos, interactive lessons, online quizzes, and other resources to teach the material.
Easy Peasy All-in-One High School (8th – 12th) C
This website offers courses in Spanish 1 through 4. Each level has 180 daily lessons consisting of online text, videos, quizzes, and other learning materials. These courses use Georgia Virtual Learning’s Spanish courses as a base.
Georgia Virtual Learning (8th – 12th)
Georgia Virtual Learning has Spanish 1 through 4 and an AP Spanish Language & Culture course. The courses consist of online text, videos, and interactive activities. Assessments are not included.
Joy & Valor Languages (8th – 12th)
This website offers Spanish I and Spanish II. The courses consist of videos, lessons, and worksheets. They also include lessons covering culture and geography. While there is Christian content elsewhere on the site, this course is secular.
Know It All (1st – 5th)
The Know It All video series teaches Spanish at an introductory level.
The Language Guide (5th – adults)
The Language Guide utilizes text, audio lessons, and interactive activities to teach Spanish vocabulary and grammar.
Language Transfer (8th – adults)
Language Transfer’s Complete Spanish course is entirely audio-based. It uses The Thinking Method, which is a Socratic Q&A teaching style. Students pause tracks to actively deconstruct concepts and build language logic themselves, rather than relying on rote memorization or note-taking.
Learn 101 (6th – adults)
Learn 101 provides a series of Spanish vocabulary and grammar lessons that include audio recordings to assist with pronunciation.
LibreTexts (9th – college)
This organization offers a large collection of online college level Spanish textbooks. There are textbooks covering first and second year Spanish, grammar, literature, culture, and more. Some of the textbooks can also be used with high school students.
Live Lingua (6th – adults)
Live Lingua’s podcast teaches Spanish through a series of 140 episodes, which are divided into 10 units. Each unit concludes with a review episode.
Loecsen (4th – adults)
Loecsen offers beginner and intermediate Spanish lessons. The lessons include audio recordings from native speakers, reading & listening exercises, memory quizzes, and more. While the lessons are free, there is also a paid version that includes additional features.
Modern States (10th – college)
This course prepares students to take the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Spanish Language Exam, which provides college credit. The course reviews material typically taught during the first and second years of college-level Spanish study.
Oak National Academy (2nd – 10th)
Oak National Academy offers Spanish lessons that include videos, slide decks, worksheets, and quizzes. To find the lessons, first select “Spanish,” then choose your child’s key stage. This is a UK website. To determine your child’s key stage and year, use this chart.
Online Free Spanish (K – 4th)
This website teaches beginning Spanish skills using interactive lessons, games, downloadable worksheets, and coloring sheets.
OpenLearn (10th – college)
OpenLearn offers several courses that teach Spanish at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels. The length and format of the classes may vary.
Salsa Spanish (K – 3rd)
The Salsa Spanish video series, created by Georgia Public Broadcasting, uses puppets, animation, live-action footage, and music to teach Spanish language and culture to first-time learners. Each of the 42 episodes has suggested activities and a printable transcript.
SpanishDictionary.com (5th – adults)
This website offers interactive Spanish lessons, a Spanish dictionary, word of the day, and more. While it’s free to use, there is a premium version that offers additional features and an ad-free experience.
Spanish Games (K – adults)
Spanish Games provides lessons, practice games, and tests for over 100 Latin American Spanish topics.
Spanish Playground (Pre-K – 12th)
Spanish Playground provides printable activities, videos, and more for teaching Spanish.
