Easy Peasy offers three one-semester courses. Everyday Math Applications uses online workbooks from NWT Literacy Council to teach math for everyday situations like cooking, shopping, paying bills, and home projects. Consumer Math uses an online Glencoe study guide, Next Gen Personal Finance lessons, and EdPuzzle videos to cover topics such as banking, debt, and interest. Business Math uses BCcampus’s Business Mathematics textbook and videos to cover topics including ratios, interest, loans, mortgages, annuities, and cash-flow analysis.

GA Virtual Learning

The Georgia Department of Education provides free public versions of its online high school courses, including Advanced Financial Algebra. This course applies algebra and statistics to real-world financial decisions. It covers topics like interest, loans, taxes, car and housing costs, and retirement savings. The course concludes with business finance and financial statistics. The lessons include online text, videos, and interactive practice activities. Assessments are not included.

NWT Literacy Council

This website’s Everyday Math Skills downloadable workbook series teaches math skills needed for daily life. The workbooks available are Home Math, Kitchen Math, Money Math, and Simply Math, which reviews the basic math skills used in the other three. They were written for use in Canada, so they include lessons on Canadian taxes, but the rest of the content also applies to homeschoolers in other countries.

The course also includes unit quizzes. While it’s designed for students with special needs, it’s also suitable for other students.

Saylor University

Saylor University is a nonprofit initiative that offers courses to professionals and college students, but high school students can also take them.
